Rural Incentive Program for Early Career and Experienced Occupational Therapists

  • We’re a leading Allied Health practice serving children, youth, and families across the Lower Eyre Peninsula. Our dynamic team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, Youth Development Practitioners, and Allied Health Assistants.   • We’re expanding our unique, community-focused Allied Health program, and searching for passionate Occupational Therapists ready to make a difference. You’ll manage a diverse caseload, collaborate with families and local professionals, and help design creative programs that fill service gaps and promote equity for children and youth.

    You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced clinicians, structured supervision, and professional development opportunities. Regional travel, school visits, and community-based work are key components of your duties.

Rural Incentive Program Benefits

  • Rural Incentive: $5,000 Rural Scholarship for early career therapists commencing with us in 2026.  Scholarship is paid in two instalments in October/November and January/February, OR $5,000 Rural Incentive for experienced Occupational Therapist to assist you to make the transition to Tobruk Centre

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary 10% above award rates  

  • Annual Bonuses for outstanding performance

  • Relocation Allowance of up to $3,000 to support your move

  • Additional Annual Leave:  2 extra days in the first 12 months of employment and additional days over the summer for all employees

  • Funded Return Flight to Adelaide to stay connected or just to have a city escape in first 3 months of employment

  • Flexible Working Arrangements: Fulltime or Part-time work is an option.

  • Career Development: $1,500 annual allowance for professional development plus fully funded travel and accommodation to attend

  • Supervision:  Weekly formal and constant informal supervision within the teams.  Mentors with experienced clinicians and early career clinicians.  Collaborative interdisciplinary opportunities.

Who we’re looking for

  • Recent or soon-to-be graduate in Occupational Therapy 

  • And experienced Occupational Therapist 

  • Passion for rural health and community engagement

  • Strong professional practice and academic record, coupled with a commitment to evidence-based practice

  • Willingness to relocate to Port Lincoln and work regionally

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident

  • Current Australian driver’s licence
